Protect Yourself From Everyday Germs
Let's face it germs are everywhere! The info-graphic above from the new hand sanitizer Zylast shares a few everyday locations where you can expect to find germs lurking. With the help of Zylast I share a few other ways to protect yourself against everyday germs, including the gym!
Gyms: Make sure after an intense workout you wash your hands or at least you use an effective hand sanitizer. You can find germs in the locker room, on free weights and exercise mats. Make it habit to wipe down machines and weights before and after your workout. When using exercise mats, lay down a towel to avoid contracting anything from soiled mats.
Stock Up: Make sure your home is fully stocked with natural cleaning agents like vinegar, lemon juice, lime juice, hydrogen peroxide, also essential oils like tea tree and peppermint. Major anti-bacterial products on the market may put you at risk of antibiotic-resistant disease so keep it green or avoid products that say anti-bacterial.

Try this easy cleanser recipe!
All-Natural Essential Oil Disinfecting Spray
- 1 cup distilled water
- 20 drops lavender essential oil
- 20 drops thyme or eucalyptus essential oil
- 10 drops tea tree oil
Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle. Spray on hard surfaces and allow them to air dry.
