Tia Blanco

Tia Blanco has become one of the hottest up and coming West Coast surfers.  Blanco is a member of the prestigious Surfing America team. Tia also an Ambassador for Reef’s boots, shoes, and fashion-forward sandals that combine exotic styling with instant comfort. While she is focused on a National title and maintaining her 4.0 GPA at Connections Academy, her long term goal is to make the ASP Women’s World Tour. NMF: Has fitness always been a major part of your life or was there a catalyst/point in your life when you made it more of a focus and priority? 

TB: I have alway been active ever since I could remember. I never liked to just stay at home and do nothing. I always had to be moving because I thought active games were a blast! Now I stay active to stay healthy and fit. However, I still find it fun :)

NMF: What are a few of your go-to healthy snacks/drinks that help keep you on the straight and narrow? 

TB: 1. Cucumbers and bell peppers with different kinds of vinegars (my sister makes it for me).

2. Sunflower seed butter, bananas, cacao nibs, chia seeds, and agave on eziekel bread.

NMF: How do you train your mind and stay motivated? 

TB: I made myself a dream board of all my future goals and dreams. Whenever I feel like I am feeling lazy I just have to remind myself why I am training and practicing. Looking at my dream board is very inspiring to me!

NMF: How do you change your body?  

TB: Eat clean and exercise frequently! 

NMF: What are your fitness favorites? 

TB: My favorite exercises are running, jump squats, planks, medicine ball throws, and push-ups.
