Simple Smoothie Drink: Lean Greens
Alyssa Mandell Sparks is the Senior Instructor at SPEIR Pilates and knows what it takes to refuel her body after a workout. As a retired dancer that underwent hip surgery and a Pilates instructor working with a variety of clients daily, she has found the right recipes to benefit her own recovery as well as the recovery of her clients!
This smoothie can also be made the night before so you can wake up, workout, and grab your smoothie right away to enjoy!
This is the prefect post-workout recovery drink!
- ¾ cup of coconut water
- 1 serving of your favorite protein powder (such as Vital Protein Collagen Peptides)
- Handful of spinach
- ¼ cucumber, skin on
- ¼ banana
- A squeeze of lemon juice
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy! While this smoothie tastes light and fresh, it packs a big punch of protein and iron for your body to absorb and enjoy.
